Begging - A Major Problem

Begging is the most common problem in many countries no matter it is developed or undeveloped. Beggars are used to beg that they actually prefer not to work. Begging is often done by people for a material benefit, usually a gift or a donation for trust.
Beggars usually found in public places like Bus-stands, railway stations, near temples, in busy market places, in streets. Some of them beg individually and some of them in groups. People from all ages from born baby to old age people involved in this activity.

Beggar with hired children
In a case study conducted by Canadian Medical Association, 70% of beggars stated that they could not handle conventional jobs because of mental illness or disability or lack of skills. This is one of the way of common employment for the disabled people who cannot work. But the problem is that, people having good physical strength and capability to do the work also doing the same thing for their livelihood. This will create unemployment problem which is also an adverse effect to the economy of a country.

In India the majority of the people begging is the ones who is below the poverty line. They usually do this for their daily food and clothing. People in this category feels that it is work they can do easily. Some times entire family members are engaged to do this work. Mothers go along with her children and ask people that they need help to feed their hungry children.

This is one side of the coin, but on the flip side women hire children from born baby to below 5 years children in cities like  Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. They hire from the people who has lot of children and unable to feed them. They pay around 200 - 400 Rs per baby. Cost of the baby is high if he/she is a new born,  the cost decreases with the age of the baby. This type of beggars made the baby cry infront of the public in order to get sympathy over them, and they ask for some money to feed the babies.

This is very cruel thing in India, but public also encouraging those people is the major problem in India. So every one has to think about the future of the baby who spoils her career. We always comment that 'Government has to do something for this issue' but ourselves not doing anything to solve this problem. People should not encourage such type of begging, we should complain to the police if any body caught doing this activity.

World Food Problem

Food Problem continues to be one of the most serious problem in the world. There is increase in food production in the world. But the high growth rate of population is creating shortages in food grains from all countries.

The food consumed by m0st of the people is deficient. it is not a balanced diet.

As a result, health and energy of the people is badly effected. The poor people could not buy the food grains, because of the rising prices. The food problem badly effected the development of the country and health of the people.

Due to the old methods of cultivation, the food production is not in pace with the demand. Our agriculture is dependent on rainfall. So, the production is uncertain. Also, large part of it is being destroyed by insects, rats etc.

Hence there is a lot of wastage of food. Hoarding of stocks by the traders and producers make the problem more serious.
